Wild Rift glossary: terms and their Arabic spelling
A Wild Rift glossary of 32 words players use, each with the Arabic spelling players type and a link to the Nexus Lab page that has the data.
The map and objectives
Baron Lane (البارون (التوب))
The lane next to Baron Nashor's pit, usually played by fighters and tanks. League of Legends calls it top lane.
Dragon Lane (الدراجون (الـ ADC))
The lane next to the dragon pit, played by the ADC (marksman) with the support. League calls it bottom lane.
Mid Lane (الميد)
The short middle lane, usually played by mages and assassins who can move to help the other lanes.
Jungle (الجانجل)
The area between the lanes with neutral monster camps. The jungler farms these camps and helps lanes with ganks.
Baron Nashor (البارون ناشور)
The strongest neutral monster of the late game. Killing it gives the whole team a buff that helps push towers.
Dragon (التنين (الدراجون))
Elemental dragons spawn in the dragon pit. Each one gives the team that kills it a permanent bonus; the Elder Dragon appears later.
Rift Herald (ريفت هيرالد)
An early neutral monster on the Baron side. Taking it helps a team break the first towers.
Turret / Inhibitor / Nexus (البرج / الإنهيبيتور / النكسوس)
Turrets defend each lane, an inhibitor sits behind the last turret of a lane, and destroying the enemy Nexus wins the game.
Roles and classes
ADC (ما هذه سي (الكاري))
Attack Damage Carry: a ranged marksman who deals steady damage with basic attacks and is strongest later in the game.
Support (السبورت)
The player who protects the ADC, places vision and starts or stops fights instead of farming.
Tank (التانك)
A champion built to absorb damage and lock enemies down so teammates can deal damage.
Assassin (الأساسن)
A champion who reaches a single target quickly and removes it with burst damage.
Mage (الميج)
A champion whose damage comes from abilities scaling with Ability Power.
Words from champion select and fights
Buff / Nerf (بَف / نيرف)
A buff makes a champion, item or rune stronger in a patch; a nerf makes it weaker.
Counter (كاونتر)
A champion that has an easier time against another one because its kit answers that champion's strengths.
Tier list (تير ليست)
A ranking of champions into letters (S+, S, A, B...) for the current patch. On Nexus Lab the letters are an estimate, not win rates.
Meta (الميتا)
The champions, builds and strategies most players treat as strongest in the current patch.
Gank (جانك)
A surprise attack on a lane by a player from outside it, usually the jungler, to win a fight there.
Roam (رومينج)
Leaving your own lane to help another lane or take an objective.
Farm / CS (فارم)
Killing minions and monsters for gold and experience. CS counts the minions you landed the last hit on.

Engage / Peel (إنجيج / بيل)
Engage is starting a fight on your terms; peel is keeping enemies off your own damage dealers.
Split push (سبليت بوش)
Pushing a side lane alone while the team is elsewhere, forcing the enemy to answer.
Power spike (باور سبايك)
The moment a champion becomes much stronger, such as reaching a key level or finishing a key item.
Snowball (سنوبول)
Turning an early lead into a bigger and bigger advantage.
Kite (كايت)
Attacking while moving away so a melee enemy cannot reach you.
Builds, runes and spells
Build (بيلد)
The items (and often the runes) a champion buys in a game. Nexus Lab shows reviewed builds on each champion page.
Runes (الرونات)
Bonuses you choose before the game starts: one keystone plus smaller runes that shape how a champion plays.
Summoner spells (السبيلات)
Two extra spells every player picks before the game, such as Flash, independent of the champion.
Currency and ranks
Wild Cores (وايلد كورز)
Wild Rift's premium currency, bought with real money and spent on skins, champions and passes.
Wild Pass (وايلد باس)
The seasonal reward track; the premium track is unlocked with Wild Cores.
