Top-up prices are not the same in every region. Many Wild Rift, League of Legends and VALORANT players notice that packs priced for Turkey can cost less than the same packs priced for Europe, and they ask whether their own account can use those prices. The answer sits in a Riot Account setting called region of residence. This guide explains what that setting is, what Riot says about changing it, how to ask Riot yourself, how our Turkey region service works step by step, and what can go wrong. It makes no promise about the result, because the decision is Riot's, not ours.
| Changing your region to Turkey at a glance | What to know |
|---|---|
| Region of residence | The country or area Riot has on file for your account; it affects payment options and the currency you pay in |
| Server | Where you play and who you queue with; our service is sold with the aim of leaving it unchanged |
| Who decides | Riot checks eligibility and makes the final decision; nobody else can override it |
| Do it yourself | Riot's region of residence page and, if you need help, a support ticket |
| With our service | Order, send your login after payment, we try from day 7 and finish by day 14 at the latest (expected 7 to 14 days), you change your password |
Region of residence and server are not the same thing
Riot describes your region of residence as the geographical area where you live. According to Riot's support page on changing it, it decides which shards you play on, which payment options you have available and who you can play with. A wrong setting shows up as unusual lag, payment options in the wrong currency, or trouble queuing with friends.
In everyday talk, players say "server" for the place they play and "region" for the country on their account. We use the words this way: the server is where the game runs for you and where your friends are, and the region of residence is the country on your account record that Riot uses for payments and prices. The service we sell changes the second one. We sell it with the aim that your account stays on its current server and keeps playing with your friends. Because Riot's own page ties region of residence to shards, we cannot promise how Riot's systems will treat every account afterwards, and the conditions you accept before ordering say so.
Why players move their account region to Turkey
The reason is price. In-game currency packs are priced per region, and the Turkey prices can be lower than the prices for Europe or other regions for the same pack. Our Turkey price pages show the packs next to each other. When the live data supports it, the banner on those pages says "up to N% lower": the figure is the biggest gap we measure, rounded down to the nearest five, and it is hidden when it would be under 20 percent. We never round it up. We do not repeat a number in this guide, because prices move.
That saving is on the packs, not on the service, which is paid once and separately. So do a quick sum before you decide: how much do you spend on top-ups in a year, how much cheaper are the Turkey packs for the amounts you actually buy, and does the difference outweigh the service price and the risks below? For a player who rarely tops up, it may not. A Turkey route also exists only for the games and packs where we sell one, so look at the price page of your game first.
What Riot says, and what it does not say
Riot's help article is called "Changing Your Region of Residence for Your Riot Account". On 14 October 2026 it said, in short: what the setting is; that a wrong one can cause lag, wrong-currency payment options and trouble queuing with friends; that you find out whether your account is eligible by logging in through the tool on the page; and that you can submit a ticket for personal help. It also warns that changing your region with the tool may reset a 2XKO account and remove its progress, and tells players of that game to contact Riot first. The same article is published on several Riot support sites; we read the Legends of Runeterra and VALORANT versions and did not find a separate copy for Wild Rift, League of Legends or TFT.
What the page does not do is list eligibility rules, waiting periods or how often you may change your region, and we will not invent them. Other websites quote cooldowns and fees; treat those as unverified. The only place that tells you whether your own account qualifies is Riot's tool.
Read Riot's page again before you act. Support pages change, and Riot can change its rules at any time. Everything above is paraphrased from the page as it stood on the date shown in the source list.
Route 1: ask Riot to change your region yourself
If Riot's tool says your account can change region, this is the route with the fewest moving parts, because nobody else ever logs in to your account.
- Open Riot's page and read it in full, including the warning for 2XKO players.
- Log in through the tool on that page with the Riot Account whose region you want to change.
- Read what the tool tells you about eligibility. If it lets you request a change, follow its prompts. Whether Turkey is offered for your account is shown by the tool, not by us.
- If the tool does not help, or you have questions about your game, submit a ticket to Riot support from the same page and name the game and the account.
- When Riot confirms the change, open your game's store and check the payment options and currency, then compare the packs with our price page for your game.
The price of this route is time and uncertainty: Riot may refuse, may ask you to wait, or may not offer Turkey for your account at all. If it works, you have changed your region without sharing a password.
Route 2: our Turkey region service, step by step
If you are not eligible through Riot's tool, or you would rather have it handled, you can order our service. It exists for four Riot games, one service page each. Here is the whole process.
- Read and accept the conditions. The service page lists six conditions, each with its own box: temporary access to the account and a password change afterwards; our 14 days of play on the account; no opening of the account during the process; Riot's final decision; our non-responsibility for Riot's actions; and that the account stays on its current server while prices follow the account region. Every box must be ticked or the order is refused.
- Order and pay. You must be logged in to The Nexus, so that we can open your private order chat. The price is shown on the service page for your country.
- Send your login after payment. Your order page asks for your Riot username, your password, the server your account is on now and an optional contact email. The login is stored encrypted, only authorised staff can open it, every opening is logged, and it is deleted after the order is finished.
- We try from day 7 and finish by day 14 at the latest. We play on the account for 14 days and the expected time is 7 to 14 days. If the change fails at day 7 it is retried and completes at day 14. Your order page shows the steps: received, account check, 14-day period, region changed, done. Please do not open or log in to the account in this time. If it is opened within the 14 days, the timer restarts from zero, and we tell you why in the order chat.
- Done: change your password and top up. When the account shows Turkey, we tell you in the chat. Change your password, then buy top-ups at the Turkey prices on our price page.
You can also ask our support team about the service and they can help you place the order. We make no claim about ranks, and the service changes nothing else on your account.
Risks and honest caveats
- Riot decides. Riot checks eligibility and makes the final decision, and its rules can change. We cannot promise a result or an exact date.
- The server question. Our aim is that your account stays on its current server. Riot says region of residence also influences which shards you play on, so the final outcome is Riot's, and we do not promise it.
- Timing. We try the change from day 7. If that attempt does not go through, it is retried and completes by day 14, so 7 to 14 days in total is what we expect, never a fixed outcome. Opening the account early restarts the count.
- 2XKO. Riot warns that its region tool may reset a 2XKO account. If your account has 2XKO on it, talk to Riot support first.
- The saving may not suit you. The service is a separate payment. If you only top up now and then, the Turkey prices may not pay it back.
Never hand your login to someone who offers a result, or asks you to pay outside the site. Treat that as a red flag. Our guide to avoiding top-up scams lists the warning signs.
Which route fits you?
| Your situation | Sensible next step |
|---|---|
| Riot's tool says you are eligible | Use Route 1 and keep your password to yourself |
| Riot's tool does not show you an option, or you want it handled | Ask Riot support through a ticket, or order our service after weighing the risks above |
| You top up rarely | Compare the Turkey packs first; the service may not pay for itself |
| You play 2XKO on the same account | Contact Riot support before any region change |
Game by game: Wild Rift, League of Legends, VALORANT and TFT
Wild Rift. Riot's Wild Cores page says players normally buy Wild Cores through their device's app store and lists prices in dollars. The Nexus sells Wild Cores through routes that differ by region, and where we have a Turkey route it is shown with the other regions on the Wild Rift page. See the live Wild Rift Turkey prices and the Wild Rift region change service.
League of Legends. Riot's regional servers page explains that each Riot Account is tied to one League region, so playing elsewhere means logging in to an account of that region. That is the server, a separate matter from region of residence. Our League of Legends region change service deals with the second one only; the RP packs are on the League of Legends page, with Turkey prices where we sell them.
VALORANT. The region of residence article is published on VALORANT's own support site too, which is why Riot's tool is the first thing a VALORANT player should try. The VALORANT region change service is for accounts the tool cannot help, and the VP packs and their Turkey prices are on the VALORANT page.
Teamfight Tactics. TFT uses the same Riot Account, so the region of residence rules are the same. There is a TFT region change service too, and the TFT page shows which packs have a Turkey price, if any.
After the change: topping up at Turkey prices
When the account shows Turkey, open our price page for your game, choose the Turkey region in the buy box, pick your pack and pay with a method available in your country. Turkey prices apply to top-ups bought from The Nexus after the change, at our published prices. Keep your order page and chat until you have checked the first top-up arrived. If something looks wrong, our refund policy explains what we do, and the contact page reaches a person.
How we wrote this guide
Every statement about Riot's rules comes from the Riot support pages linked above and in the source list, read on 14 October 2026, and is paraphrased in our own words. The description of our own service is the process we run today. We left out anything Riot does not publish, such as waiting periods and cooldowns, and any claim about ranks. If a Riot page and this guide disagree, the Riot page is right, and we would like to hear about it.
Ready to look at the service? Read the conditions on the service page for your game before you order. Nothing is charged until you accept every condition and pay.

Frequently asked questions
What is a region of residence on a Riot account?
It is the geographical area Riot has on file as where you live. Riot says it decides which shards you play on, which payment options you have available and who you can play with. A wrong setting can show up as lag, payment options in the wrong currency or trouble queuing with friends.
Is region of residence the same as my server?
No. The server is where you play, and the region of residence is the country on your account record. Riot's own page links the two, so a change can matter for shards, but our service is sold with the aim that your account stays on its current server and keeps playing with your friends.
Can I change my Riot region to Turkey myself?
Maybe. Riot's help page lets you log in to see whether your account is eligible, and you can submit a ticket for personal help. Riot does not publish its eligibility rules or waiting periods on that page, so only its tool can tell you whether Turkey is possible for your account.
How long does your Turkey region service take?
We try the change from day 7. The expected time is 7 to 14 days in total: if the change fails at day 7 it is retried and completes at day 14, and it is never a promised outcome. You must not open the account during that time, because opening it within the 14 days restarts the timer from zero.
Can Riot refuse the change?
Yes. Riot checks eligibility and makes the final decision, and it can change its rules. We cannot override it and we cannot promise a result. We are not responsible for any action Riot takes on the account, and you accept that condition before ordering.
Will I really pay less after switching to Turkey?
Often the Turkey packs cost less than the same packs for other regions, but it depends on the game and the pack, and the service is a separate payment. Compare the live Turkey prices on our price page for your game with the price of the service before you order.
Does it work for Wild Rift, League of Legends, VALORANT and TFT?
We sell the service for all four, one service page each, with Turkey as the only target region. Riot decides every case, and the Turkey price pages differ by game, so check the price page of your game to see which packs have a Turkey price.
